Conrad Shawcross: Lattice and Palindrome
For Frieze 2007, Selfridges commissioned the artist Conrad Shawcross to produce two new arresting pieces - Lattice and Palindrome.
This was Conrad Shawcross’s first commission to be exhibited within a retail environment, which positioned his art to a more mainstream audience in the heart of London. The works continued Conrad’s investigation into the structural and spiritual nature of space and its inherent binary reality. The exhibition was multilayered, with Palindrome occupying Window 20 and Lattice filling the Ultralounge.
